Albert Bichot is a prestigious, family-owned winery from Burgundy, founded in 1831 in Monthélieu. However, the family’s winemaking roots date back as far as 1350, when the Bichot family first settled in the region. Their emblem, a roe deer (“biche” in French), remains a powerful symbol of their heritage and deep connection to the land.
Today, Albert Bichot owns six exceptional estates covering over 100 hectares of vineyards across Burgundy, including Domaine Long-Depaquit in Chablis, Clos Frantin and Château-Gris in the Côte de Nuits, and Domaine du Pavillon in the Côte de Beaune. The company was one of the pioneers of organic viticulture in the region, with official certification starting from the 2018 vintage.
Albert Bichot has earned international acclaim, being named “Red Winemaker of the Year” twice (in 2004 and 2017) and “White Winemaker of the Year” in 2011 at the prestigious International Wine Challenge—one of the world’s most respected wine competitions.
