Ouzo Plomari was first produced in 1894 in the small Greek village of Plomari, located on the southeastern coast of the island of Lesbos. The brand was founded by Isidoros Arvanitis, one of the pioneers of ouzo production on the island. From the very beginning, Isidoros was committed to high quality, using the finest anise seeds and carefully selecting the herbs used in distillation. Ouzo Plomari is renowned for its traditional distillation method in copper stills, which is key to creating its distinctive flavor.
