Eminente is a Cuban rum originating from the heart of the local island known as ‘Isla del Cocodrilo,’ whose unusual shape resembles a type of crocodile native to the island. Conceived by César Martí, Cuba’s youngest Maestro Ronero (master of rum), Eminente is a rich and full-bodied rum inspired by the complexity of 19th-century Cuban rums.
This island is home to over 3,000 native species, including the Cuban crocodile, which resides in the Zapata Swamp, the largest wetland in Cuba, located in the southern province of Matanzas. Revered by the local population, this wild creature embodies the untamed essence of the land. Eminente is intrinsically connected to Cuba’s unspoiled nature. The bottle design and the crocodile-shaped island depicted on the label pay homage to this unique crocodile species that inhabits the island.
