Born over 80 years ago, Mouton Cadet is the result of a historic relationship between Bordeaux wine and Baron Philippe de Rothschild. The youngest member of the family and owner of Château Mouton Rothschild, he aimed to share the richness of this prestigious Bordeaux region with a wider audience.

From the very beginning, Mouton Cadet has drawn on the skill and expertise of Bordeaux’s winegrowers to give the wine its unique identity. The Baron Philippe de Rothschild wineries carry forward this tradition by carefully selecting vineyard plots for their exceptional qualities, and by providing each grower with daily support in cultivating their vines.
