Matusalem & Company was founded by brothers Benjamin and Eduardo Kamp, who left Spain and settled in Santiago de Cuba in 1872 for the establishment of a distillation of rum. The brothers brought their knowledge and expertise in the distillation used to make Spanish cognacs and sherry. Today, this is one of the most famous companies producing rum.
