Huyghe

Brewery (L.Huyghe) Delirium was founded in 1906 in Belgium by Léon Huyghe, also known as the “Pink Elephant”. The brewery experienced an expansion in 1964. With the Delirium Tremens beer, they won the market, and in 1998 this beer was declared the best beer of the world.

Delirium Tremens

Feels like the sound shot of alcohol is igniting the mouth. In reality the tongue and palate are warmed. The taste is characterized by its roundness. The aftertaste is strong, long-lasting and dry bitter. Bottle: 33cl Alcohol volume: 8.5% ABV

Delirium Nocturnum

Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.Bottle: 33cl Alcohol volume: 8.5% ABV

Delirium Red

Soft fruity aroma, with hints of almond and mildly sour cherries. Flavour: Sweet and fruity, with a nice balance between sweet and sour. An excellent dessert beer.Deep dark red colour, with a light pink, compact and lacing head. Bottle: 33cl Alcohol volume: 8% ABV

Floris Framboise

Sweet raspberry mouthfeel with the expected longlasting raspberry effect in the aftertaste. This is a very enjoyable raspberry beer with an excellent sweet-sour balance.The wonderful raspberry aroma perfectly counterbalances the wheat beer with its coriander and orange zest notes. Bottle: 33cl Alcohol volume: 3.6% ABV

La Guillotine

Initially rather sweet, because of the alcohol. The intense taste and roundness mask the presence of high bitterness. A complex smell, with a citrus aroma, followed by hop aromas such as Saaz, Brewers Gold and Amarillo. Bottle: 33cl Alcohol volume: 8.5% ABV
